Christmas Morning
We had the girl missionaries over for breakfast on Christmas! Halle was sooo excited because she adores them and was happy to show them her presents! She made sure to tell me a few times, "not the boy missionaries, i want the girl missionaries to come over"

Halle being funny at Christmas time
when we got home from the church party halle said, "mama, who was that man dressed as santa?' i said , it was santa. she said, "no, who was it, what was his name?' me, "santa", halle, "mama, that man goes to our church and was dressed as santa, what was his name?" me, eddie peacock. Halle, "yeah, thats who it was, eddie peacock"
halle, "mama, can you send santa an email and tell him what to bring me."
halle, "mama, santa is coming to our house, the REAL santa"
xmas morning tom told halle santa came, halle tells me, "mama, santa came to our house. do we have a chimney?" (she knew from the movies that we need one, i said no, we let him in the front door)
xmas eve, halle says, mama, when santa comes tonight, i want to talk to him.
Halle is totally obsessed with poop jokes. she thought it was hilarious to say that santa was going to fill her stocking up with poop. and she said to tom, "dad-ariah" (like diariah, i thought that was pretty funny)
halle sneezed right on the christmas cookies and said, mama, i just blessed you on the cookies.
halle said to dad in the car, "ruthie doesn't smelligate (celebrate) christams, she smelligates haunikkah"
halle sang a haunikkah song all evening when we went to ruthie's house to celebrate haunikkah on tuesday, "haunikkah , oh haunikka , come light the ba-nor-ah" (aka, Menorah)
halle said to ruthie's papa, happy haunikkah, and he said, happy haunikka to you too. halle said, "no, papa, your supposed to say merry christmas to me"
i said to halle , do you want to call grandma and tell her thank you for the presents. halle said, "grandma didn't bring these , santa did" . i guess no one is getting any credit for their gifts this year.

halle took her job as grandma's personal stylist and makeup artist, totally serious.
-halle to a random old man at the store, "hi, my name is halle, whats your name"
man, "bob"
halle, "did you put up your xmas tree yet?"
bob, "yeah, did you"
halle, "yup, a really big one"
-me getting frustrated with halle asking me to do things while driving:
me, "seriously halle, i'm trying to drive"
halle, "seriously mom, don't talk to me like that"
halle didn't know the word "melted" yet, so i caught her the past couple days using the phrase, "lay into it" to replace it.
her grilled cheese sandwhich wasn't melted enough and she said, "mom, put it back in the pan, i like when the cheese lays into the bread"
i put mozerrella on her spaghetti and then went to put it into the microwave.
halle, "no, mom, don't put it in there, i don't like when the cheese lays into it"
halle is trying really hard to get kiera to say her name, she says it right into kiera's face a few times in a row, kiera babbles something back at her and halle gets excited and says, mom she tried to say it!
halle finally figured out that tom is more fun then me, mostly cuz i'm too tired to throw the girls in the air, give pony rides on my back , or their favorite activity, let dad roll you up in a towel , and then he holds the back of the towel and swings them around the house. now she says to me, daddy is my friend and kiera is your freind. its funny because when i had kiera, for a long time halle would say that she was my baby and kiera was daddy's baby.
halle wears a xmas dress everyday, she has three, and rotates, she loves the attention she gets at stores from being dressed up like xmas.

update
we've been busy...had all the family here for thanksgiving...pics coming, already on flickr. first time my fam was altogether since 3 years ago (actually jeff was in iraq 3 yrs ago so i can' t even remember when we were ALL together)
8 adults and 8 kids all in the same house...we had a blast...the kids were great and minus kiki, wesley and lucy, they all slept in the loft for a big sleptover party!!

halle finally started pooping on the potty (instead of waiting for her diaper to go on at the end of the night) and kiera finally started learning words....the milestones keep on coming.
kiera uses words, but never on cue when i ask her to, and she still can speak entire sentences of Russian, and if you ask her "what?" she'll repeat it, sometimes halle can translate for her.
the girls started playing together a lot and have become best buds, kiera does whatever halle does, or whatever halle asks her to do, "go in the tent, get on the bed, lay down, get that barbie, come here, hide, give me a bite of food, no-no,give me that" kiera can follow mosts of halle's orders which makes them get along great...kiera doesn't get walked on though, halle is very sweet to her, she takes turns and has a decent amount of respect for kiera considering kiera is a tough chick and can hold her own (she can take halle down in a tackle)
halle is totallly obssessed with the grinch that stole xmas and won't watch any other xmas movie and told me today the grinch was her favorite thing about xmas....distrubing, right?
kier is more like having a puppy then a child, she is so happy and giggly and wild and crazy. Halle could do more then her at her age, but halle was easy to work with and kiera is wild, but she is still very smart. right now halle is sitting on the couch and kiera walks up and halle kicks her in the stomach and kiera falls back on the ground and they both are laughing hysterically...see, they get along great.

kiki and mama
kiki finally learned to say mama...its so cute, even in the middle night, followed by baba...i feel like i waited forever for her to say it, she said dada months ago and even learned to say coco (one of halle's dolls that she named coco that kiki loves) before mama...that was a sad, but i feel so loved now!
