halle quotes

if halle can't think of a word fast enough in the middle of her sentence, then sometimes she'll come up with the funniest word filler:
Halle saw gymnastics on tv and said, "look, it's the o-lipsticks"
Halle holding a tamborine, "I've got a trampoline"
instead of scare crow, she switched the begining sounds and said, "care scrow"

I asked halle who should we invite to your party, she said, "ruthie, peggy, and kiera"

halle picked kiera's passy up off the floor and put it back in her mouth for her. she said to me, "mom, kiera drops her passy on the floor every day, she's the nastiest little girl I ever met"

halle woke me up in the morning, "mom, did you hear that sound, it was stomach saying, (in this weird monster voice) 'i'm hungry".

tom wrapped the towel around halle in a "towel dress". halle said, "i'm going to go show mommy, that will be interesting"

at a playgroup, halle was watching a little boy battle with his mom to get on her lap, which she didn't want, he was yelling and crying, halle turns to me and says, "mom, that baby is frustrated at his mommy because he wants to get on her lap"
it made me laugh because the other moms looked at halle like shes been in therapy to learn how to express her feelings.

Halle said, "mom, I love you"
I said, "what does that mean?" (curious what she would come up with)
Halle thought for a while, "um...um.....happy!"

halle's pregnancy stomach painting. halle tells people that she's got a baby boy in her belly, so when she did this, i thought of those woman who have their bellies painted.


there are certain toys that i love to play with and can' t pass up if i see them at the good will or yardsales. i am totally obsessed with mr. potato head peices, everytime i see them i have to buy them. my girls rarely play with them, but i can't stop until my collection is complete. other ocd toys: doctor kit peices (we actually love to play dr, but seriously, we don' t need 4 stethescopes), magnetic doll dress up kits (halle doesn't play with these, but i think they are so cute), and dress up clothes, which halle loves, but we have at least 10 princess/barbie dresses and i rarely see halle in anything but cinderella, i know she'll use them more later and her friends love to come over. tonight at the goodwill i bought halle a unicorn/pegasus snow globe, we were both soooo excited! have i mentioned how much i love thrift stores?

Around the house!

usually i save these kinds of activities for when kiera is napping, but she actually sat there for almost an hour making cookies with us! I am excited that she is becoming more of a playmate. The girls had a blast. mostly they ate dough. this is a picture of halle drinking the sprinkles.
kiera has been jealous of halle's chair for a while now, i found the pink one at a yardsale and so now each princess has their own princess chair. they are so cute drinking their milk and watching cartoons together in there little chairs.
it's been a lifelong dream of mine to own a chia pet. i can still remember watching the commercials and longing for one ("chi, chi, chi ,chia", remember the jingle?) I saw this one brand new in the box at the goodwill and it was like xmas morning. I rushed the girls home, ripped open the box, let halle paint it, planted the seeds and only 3 days later we had this. the grass is longer now, but i'm pruning it everyday, determined to keep it alive!
kiera loves to wear purses and stethescopes around her neck. its cute, just like halle at her age, shes like a miniture lady in training. btw, this purse is from walmart, they are in the craft section, only 2 bucks, they look like little skirts, i got halle some fabric paint and she decorated it.
i have been painting the furniture for halle's room for a few weeks now. we go outside everyday during kiera's nap and halle paints scrap wood and her table. its so hot and humid, but halle loves it! yestarday she asked me, "mom, how come you don't paint naked?" wouldn't the neighbors love that?!

Halle Quotes

I have to post a couple funny Halle quotes, so i don' t forget.

"mom, if I eat this paint, I will die. and then you will have to put batteries in me so I work again."

previously, i told halle that you can feel Jesus in your heart.
holding the stethoscope up to her heart.
"mom, can you hear Jesus in there?"

Halle to her nursery leader:
"Kiera uses her hands as a fork, I just use a fork"
"Kiera is a stinker"

I told halle to pick out some shoes for church. I was trying to offer suggestions so I kept saying stuff like how bout the white ones, or the brown ones are downstairs, or the pink ones would match your dress. halle gets annoyed when i even imply that i am telling her what to do, when it is HER decsion.
"mom, stop telling what shoes I have. At the store yestarday, you were telling me what food I could eat (refering to me offering her suggestions of what to order at the resturant). If you tell me one....more.....time....what shoes to wear, you will go to time out" (the spacing refers to how I emphasize each word when I say it to her)

kiera almost aways has a big smile on her face , especially to halle, this is usually a good thing. sometimes its not:
kiera bit halle's toe, and comes up with a big smile on her face. halle: "thats not funny kiera, its rude"
kiera is laying in front of halle watching tv, halle uses her as a foot stool. i tell halle thats its not polite to put your feet on people. Halle: "but shes laughing, she likes it". and of course, kiera turns around with a big smile on her face!

this is a peter piper, this is the girls favorite ride, kiera holds on all by herself! we did it tons of times. good thing the walmart in macon has one of these!

Grandma gave halle a spa day and makeover every day. Halle LOVED it! it started in grandma's

huge tub, with TONS of bubbles, then a blowdry, curls, hair products, makeup, nail polish, ect, grandma knows how to take care of a princess!

kiera was totally obssessed with the dog. she was always chasing it and running to grandma's room to find it. she tried to mount it a few times and hug it, which means lean your head on it, thats what shes doing in this picture.

snuggling to watch a movie together, kiki is a big snuggler, she would love it if halle would snuggle with her more often, but princesses usually need their space.

the cousins had such a fun time together, halle of course had to immediately put on elly's nightgown and all of elly's princess dresses, she was in heaven! elly put on some ballet gear and showed off her dancing! she is really sweet and adorable. neco is a fun, happy kid that is really sweet babies!

we went to this huge in door jungle gym. the girls had a blast, me and tom had even more fun! this place said 3 and older and kiki did awesome! shes such a climber, this rope net was really steep and long and she could climb as fast as halle!

see how coolthis place is, i you look close they had rope bridges that were SO high up. i was so scared, but hid it so halle wouldn't take my cues and chicken out. it worked we did everything and had a blast!
this tube was so high up and it was wobbly and just these ropes that made it easy to see the ground below, the first time halle was a little scared, so tom let her ride on his chest while he did the crab crawl through.
You had to wear socks, i didn't do this to kiki on purpose. they had a fish tank there, kiki LOVES fish! she calls them "ish" and can find them and point to them in any book and says ish, ish over and over!
