kiki can ride so fast on this little bike....i'll upload some video soon and she can steer really well too....if she takes a spill she just picks her bike back up and gets back on and keeps going....she even skinned her knees once and i shouted, are you ok, she shouted back, "i'm ok, just a little blood".....
yestarday we went to stone mountain park for their xmas celebration....its rated one of the top 10 places to see santa in the US....we were not disappointed...it was a TON of fun....live on stage music performance, dancing elves, storytime with mrs. clause, a xmas parade, xmas laser show on the side of the mountain, polar express in 4D, train rides, ect.....the girls had a great time, we were there for 5 hours and did not do everything there was to do....a couple funny things....
a few weeks ago tom pretended to throw kiki in a garbage can and she thought it was soo funny...yestarday i had her up on my shoulders and everytime we passed a garbage she yelled out , "mommy, throw me in the garbage can!" ....it sounded funny to people passing by
while we were waiting for a stage show to start kiki ran up on the stage in front of about 250 people....she had a BIG smile on her face and everyone started clapping ....well that just egged her on to give them a show, she lifted up her shirt all the way to her neck to show off her bellly and still had a big smile on her face, everyone laughed and clapped more...kiki was in heaven , until the worker grabbed her hand and led her off the stage....kiki is such a show off!
~mrs. clause story time was in front of a life size gingerbread house...halle said to me, "don't witches live in gingerbread houses?" (dont' read hansel and gretel during xmas time) i told her that maybe a witch lived inside and was going to come out and eat the small children....halle was pretty excited to see that and a little disappointed when it was just mrs. clause that came out.

updates for the past couple weeks...
-one day we were sitting around brainstorming names for the frog, halle was coming up with the weirdest names that we would never remember and kept saying no to everything me and tom said, finally kiki spoke up and said, "i wanna name the frog, Bessy"....we all looked at each other surprised that kiki had actually come up with a decent name....halle actually liked it for a while , but its still trying to come up with a name of her own
-kiki is totally obbsessed with puzzles...halle never liked them, so this is fun to see kiera have a hobby all of her own (although her obsession with them has gotten halle interested and its become a very fun family activity)....i have about 10 boxes of 25 peices puzzles...kiki just dumps the box, does the puzzle, shouts out "i did it!!" and then "i do it again" , breaks it up and does it again....she can do this for a LONG time, like 30 minutes at a time gets up plays and does it some more....if you try to help she says, "don't do it, i do it myself" and if you put in a peice for her, you get a really dirty look.....her attention span is WAY longer then halle's was a 2, she can also color for a long time...its great that both the girls have about the same attention span...we can do some fun projects....cooking , crafts, puzzles, games, ect....
-halle loves to ask people, even random people at stores < "would like me to do a dance for you".....and she asked the mom at another child's birthday party if she could do a dance at the party and when we had a family over for dinner on sunday, she danced for the whole family....it makes me happy that she is so confident....she doesn't like to sing at church, i think its because she doesn't feel really confident about knowing all the words...but dancing, she is pretty good at it and she knows it and she will dance anywhere , anytime (and it helps that about half the time , she is wearing one of her leatards)
-halle is working really hard to cartwheel...she is doing pretty good at trying, her tumbling teacher said she will be able to do it pretty soon.
-kiki is a pro at riding her bike...i took some video of it, the bike is so tiny, it looks like a circus monkey's bike and she looks like a little monkey on it....the girls ride at least a couple hours a day on their bikes either in teh backyard or up in the parking lot at the playground...today we had about 10 friends join us up at the playground to ride, it was a lot of fun.
-today we got the flu vaccinations....the girls love to play doctor, so they were so excited about getting shots, they LOVED watching me get mine first and then they both watched themselves get shots...they didn't even flinch, these are some pretty tough girls
-i think halle has pretty good social skills for her age. she loves to introduce herself to people, ask people their names and give compliments.... kiera mimics everything halle does , so the other day at the playground a group of older girls were out there, kiki went up to one and said, "whats your name?" she answered....kiki said, "my name is kiki"...and then, "i wove (love) your tinkerbell shirt!"....it was so cute!
-for the past few weeks, halle introduces herself to everyone as isabella and kiki as abigail.....halle told me she loves those names and decided to change their names.... luckily , i love those names too (i actually wanted to name kiki , abigail, but tom said no)...so when she introduces herself to strangers, i don't even bother to correct her....strangers almost always say, those are very pretty names, which totaly makes halle's day!
the birthday
one of the games i had at the birthday party was a treasure hunt, i buried a bunch of little toys in the sand volleyball court. the kids had to dig up the treasures....it worked out pretty well....except that they were all on the surface, so i felt bad when i saw some of the kids had dug a really deep hole and got nothing ......it was really the only game i could come up with for about 35 kids to play at the same time....halle wanted to play tag, red light, green light and duck duck goose at the party, which we did, but just with about 10 or so that wanted to play. after the games i yelled that whoever wanted to could go back to the club house for halle to open presents.....i heard halle's friends saying, "can i help you?"....halle said sure to all of them....everyone just dived into the presents and started tearing them up...in about 3 minutes, everything was open...i have no idea who got her what, haha...halle thought it was great and since she didn't care, neither did I....it turned out to be a great party and she is already talking about how she wants to do a tinkerbell party again next year!
crzy!!
these girls crack me up and each other up all day....they're so goofy!
last week we went to stone mountain park, in stone mt, ga....we had a lot of fun....we took the sky lift up to the top of the mountain and hiked the mile hike back down...the girls did great and we did it very quickly, the train at the bottom is supposed to take you back to the park....when we got to the bottom, their was a sign that said, "train is not running today" ....we had to walk 1.5 miles back to the park....we tried to make it a game by getting the girls to chase us back to the park...we ran most of the way, the last 10 minutes or so we had to carry them, they were exhausted! we also watched a 4D movie, journey to the center of the earth, played minature golf, and had a really fun day!
crazy hair day!
a few times in the past week halle will whisper in tom's ear, "will you tell mommy she looks beautiful" and then he will and then she'll whisper in my ear, "will you tell daddy he looks handsome"
it's so cute and sweet..
in primary at church the teacher asked how do you serve your moms? halle raised her hand and said, "I clean the bathtub everyday"....that night when she was bathing she said "look, mom, this is how i clean the bath tub everyday" and she was putting soap on her wash cloth and standing up to clean the walls...
sunday, while i was putting kiera to sleep halle started cleaning like crazy, tom said she was moving a 100mph around the upstairs, which was a disaster...when i came out of the room she was standing by the door jumping up and down, squealing with excitment, she held my hand and had me close my eyes as she lead me to each room she had cleaned (picked up everything off the floor and put in all in one pile in the corner of each room, for me, that is cleaning up because for the most part, the upstairs did look clean) she had shoved stuff in drawers and in closets....even cleaned my bedroom...it was unexpected and totally made my day! i kept telling her how happy i was and grateful...she told me miss becky (her sunday school teacher) told her to do it...she was very proud of herself!

halle's party
more bday pictures to come....but here's one....all the girls dressed up as fairy's or princesses (that's kiki dressed up as tink in the background). halle wore this ballet outfit with wings and of course wanted red streamers to match her! i curled her hair in ringlets...it was straight before the party even started...but halle didn't realize that thought it was curly....she did look beautiful!
party stuff
me and halle made the flower wands...halle sat with me one night and tied the ribbon on 50 of those wands and i curled them...it us a couple hours, but she was happy to help. we put them in a few vases and put them on the tables at the party for centerpieces....at the end the kids could take one home....the little bottle next to the box is pixie dust, aka rose bath powder...the poem attached says,
Fairy love and fairy light,
pixie dust in your bath tonight,
so sweet and pretty you will smell,
just like the fairy, Tinkerbell!
each of the kids got one of those too....halle was screaming when i put it in her bath the next night...i hope the other kids liked them too...
the box is our pinata...halle was dying to have a pinata at the party....always on movies, rarely actually done....i had halle help me make it, we got a shoe box, printed tink pics from online, colored and glued on cut up peices of crape paper and sequence...halle was really excited about it...it was probably her favorite part of the party...i glued it shut so tight, knowing that no one would be able to break it open...which was my plan....what fun is a pinata unless everyone gets to swing at it...everyone got in line from youngest to oldest and got a few swings...of course no one broke it, at the end tom whacked it a few time and it finally broke and everyone scrambled for the candy...making a pinata will definetly become a birthday tradition!
tinkerbell cake
this is the cake i made for the party...i didn't know my friend was going to make one, so i already made one....we served both, halle thought that was pretty cool....this was halle's request....a chocolate cake (of course) with purple frosting (you can' t see it that well in the picture, but it was really purple) and i bought a bouquet of these flowers and halle put them on the cake, i was going to just do 3 rings of flowers(its a stacked cake, hard to tell), but halle put them pretty much everywhere and was excited to help...the topper is the top of our bubble bath bottle...don't worry , halle asked me a few times if i washed it before i put it on the cake.
tink cake
this is the cake my friend made for halle for her birthday! it was soo adorable and halle loves the doll from inside....
kiki's grossed out face
i love kiki's face in this , she was sooo grossed out....i can' t wait to post pictures of them loving on their new pets, the earthworms that they dug up in the mud...seriously, they pet them and hold them for hours and pumpkins gutts grossed them out....go figure!
grandma's visit!
i forgot to post pictures from tom's mom's visit...we had soo much fun, i wanted to put all the pictures in one alblum before i posted...but here is one of my favorites of the week! the girls had the funnest week with her!! we went shopping (yea! winter clothes) and to the zoo, 6 flags, fall festival, and tons of resturants...the girls were spoiled sooo much!! thanks, karen, we miss you already!!
shot # 1
i like this picture because the look on halle's face only begins to capture how in love with herself she really is. this is her birthday morning, wearing her new dress from granny carol (her southern granny from church) and just knowing that the whole world revolves around her.
posing for the camera
this is one of halle's favorite poses for the camera...i like this picture because halle was trying to explain to kiera to put her shoulder up, hip out and head back...too much information for kiera and this is her best attempt at copying halle.
divas!
halle's outfit has sequence...when she stood in her room the first time, with the light shinning in and the room looked sparkly like a what a disco ball does, halle said, "mom, this is a magic leatard...you didn't know they sold us a magic one"
Halloween week
Tuesday was dress up day for dance class, halle wore a ballet costume (usually they have to wear a plain leatard), she looked fancy and was soo excited to wear make up and sparkles on her face! On wednesday, we went to another church's fall festival....this is one of the biggest churches in town, so they go all out for their FREE fall festival! this is the third year in a row we've crashed it. they had pony rides, at least 5 different bounce houses, carnival games, train rides, hay rides, popcorn, hotdogs, cotten candy, boiled peanuts. we stayed for over 2 hours, but it got dark and with hundreds of people....way to crazy for me to watch the girls at...it was fun and we saw all our friends there!
on thursday my friend had her annual (3rd year now) Halloween party at her house...she got pizza and everyone brought food as well....yummy food and lots of fun. the kids love seeing their friends dressed up and she had some cute crafts for them to do!
On friday evening we went to a high school football game....it was fun, the girls liked the cheerleaders, but we still had to leave early because the week was tiring them out!
On saturday we crashed another church's fall festival, our neighbor invited us to her church's party! they had a few bounce houses, carnival games (that gave out tons of good candy:) hot dogs and funnel cakes....the funnel cake just made my halloween one of the best ever! after that we came home and trick or treated around our neighborhood, then all the neighbors met back at the clubhouse for a party!
we had a really fun halloween week!
cute sayings:
halle, "mom, when you were little , did you used to say, 'when i grow up i hope i have funny kids?' and now you have them?"
halle, "mommy , aren't you glad you have silly kids?"
halle, "daddy goes to work to get money for my money jar"
halle, "kiki, if you eat too much candy, you'll get sick and your teeth will rott"
kiki tries to change her voice to sound like a boy (like me and halle can do) but she just sounds weird and nasely, and pretends she is prince eric..."hi, i'm prince eric, how do you do?"
kiki will eat candy in front of you and say..."you want some?" and you say yeah. and she steps away from you eats it as fast as she can and then laughs in your face and says, "its all gone, its all gone!"
me, "halle, do you like to share?"
halle, "i don't like to share germs."
