Halle told me yestarday, "mom, chew like this" and then she had her mouth closed while she chewed (obviously, she hasn't learned her manners from me)..."this way, not everyone will see the food in your mouth. When i am alone, i chew with my mouth open."
in the car on the way to church, i was "preping" the girls for church....when we get to church, we can't run, we use our whisper voices. We need to think about Jesus and how much he loves us and we need to be quiet, so that other people can think about Jesus....then kiki said, while holding up her ariel doll, "mommy, tell ariel about Jesus"
kiera is sooo sensitive compared to halle, she cries if you say no to her or use a less then cheerful voice to give her an order. this is her usual display: she runs off crying, lays on her belly with her hands in her face , cries for a bout 5 seconds and then runs back to me and says, "Hurt feelings, mommy, say sorry!" i apologive to kiki a few times a day.
halle doesn't like my voice to be at all stern either...she'll say, "your voice is hurting my feelings"
there is a stray cat in our neighborhood, our neighbor told me she took it in for shots and it had been nutered as well, she is taking care of it, basically, so i decided to let my girls play with it in the backyard....they were sooo happy. they played with it for over an hour. this cat was defenitly a family cat that someone got rid of, because it let the girls do anything to it. they pushed in on the baby swing, down the slide, in their toy cars, forcing her hands on the steering wheel and yelling , "drive it, drive it", then they wrapped in a wet blanket that had been left outside, cuddled with it, carried it around. it was pretty funny. i gave them milk and tuna for it, it had entertained them for over an hour, i guess it earned the food, plus i hoped it would come back and entertain them another day, it was such a relaxing morning. tom even took halle to the store to buy cat food for it (halle really has tom wrapped around her finger). halle named the cat candy cane butterfly flowers. kiki said, "its not candy cane, its kitty cat"..."thats her name", halle explained. later i asked kiki the cats name, "its candy cane and butterfly"....i had never seen my girls interact with an animal that much before, it was funny to see that they talked to it like it could understand everything they were saying. halle had full conversation with the cat, and kiera said , "you like ariel, kitty cat?" while she held her ariel doll in its face.
